The News of the Week:
Community Voting Ends in 10 Days
National Bullfighting Summit
■ Community Voting Ends in 10 Days
The community voting started about a month ago. The deadline for voting is June 10, and we hope that all Nishikigoi NFT digital villagers will take this opportunity to participate in the voting.
Tenryukyo (Nagano Prefecture) and Shiiba Village (Miyazaki Prefecture) are the next two candidates for the Local DAO after Yamakoshi, both of which are regions with beautiful nature and traditional culture. However, Tenryukyo is facing regional decline due to the current tourism model, and Shiiba Village is facing the problem of passing on traditional culture due to an aging and declining population.
<Local DAO Community Voting>
■ Proposal
Approval or disapproval of new Local DAO locations "Tenryukyo, Nagano" and "Shiiba Village, Miyazaki".
■ Date
April 30th 9am - June 10th, 11:59pm (Japan time)
■ Eligibility
All digital villagers (Nishikigoi NFT holders)

The link to vote for Shiiba Village is

Thank you so much to those who already voted! This would be a new challenge for the Nishikigoi NFT community as a model to follow after Yamakoshi!
■ National Bullfighting Summit
On May 26, which marked the 20th anniversary of the Niigata Chuetsu Earthquake, the “National Bullfighting Summit” event was hosted in Yamakoshi. Bulls from nine cities, towns, and villages across Japan that have bullfighting culture gathered and competed enthusiastically.
Here are some of the photos!
In Yamakoshi, bullfighting has been historically popular, and this was the first time in 10 years that the event was held. For local residents, bullfighting is an irreplaceable part of their culture, and the event provided an opportunity to reaffirm their strong will for reconstruction and hope for the future.
The purpose of this event was to encourage the recovery of the affected areas and to promote and pass on bullfighting culture throughout the region. Many digital villagers visited the event and cheered excitedly as the powerful bulls clashed with each other.
Yamakoshi has a culture of bullhorn poking that is as beautiful as Nishikigoi, so be sure to check it out if you have a chance to drop by! And we have a side project of this bullfighting that was born out of the Nishikigoi NFT project.
