■ Tenryukyo Odori and New NFTs
Last week there was the Tenryukyo Odori festival in Tenryukyo, Nagano Prefecture. Tenryukyo Odori is a festival that shows the local identity and represents the natural beauty and cultural diversity of the region. Local residents have passed down this festival and have kept the traditional culture alive for a long time. This time the Tenryukyo team, the Crypt Village team, and the artist who created the second version of Nishikigoi NFT visited.
As you may know, Tenryukyo was approved in a community vote in June as a new Local DAO to follow Yamakoshi, along with Shiiba Village in Miyazaki Prefecture. Tenryukyo's efforts to create new value while preserving local traditions are now underway as we are currently working on a new NFT that is being prepared.
The Tenryukyo’s NFT, like the Yamakoshi NFT (Nishikigoi NFT), will be designed to be more than just a digital asset; it will be considered valuable content that symbolizes the history, nature, and culture of the region, and will allow visitors to feel a deep connection with the area by holding it in their hands.
We look forward to sharing our new challenge as a DAO with you, and we will make an official announcement regarding the NFT sales launch date and other details as soon as they become available.
■ Bull Fighting in Yamakoshi
There are only a few events left of this year's Bull Fighting in Yamakoshi. The next event is scheduled for September 22. This traditional event is an important local cultural event and has deep roots in the community, attracting many people from all over the world every year.
There are very few places in Japan where bullfighting can be seen, and Yamakoshi is truly one of the few places in Japan that keeps this tradition alive by offering this rare experience. Bullfighting in Yamakoshi is not just a competition, but an important cultural heritage filled with the pride and history of the entire village.
This bullfighting culture supports the identity of the village, as does the Nishikigoi, the symbol of Yamakoshi. Loved by the villagers since long ago and passed down from generation to generation, bullfighting embodies the history, pride, and strong community spirit of the village. In the bullring, I’m sure that all visitors can feel a deep connection to the traditions of the community as they watch the powerful bulls battle.
Bullfighting is also an event that brings the entire village together, and many people are involved in raising the bulls. The sight of the bulls, raised with passion by the villagers, fighting for their strength and pride is more than mere entertainment; it is a moment that symbolizes the culture and spirit of Yamakoshi.
