■ Introducing Next Local DAO Candidates
It has already been two years since we launched our first Local DAO in Yamakoshi, Niigata Prefecture. During that time, we have been thinking for a long time about whether or not this Local DAO idea would be able to take root in society as a way of life for the locals in the future. Although it is quite difficult to simultaneously apply Local DAO, which is a kind of social experimental project, to many regions, we will continue to work with each and every community as we move forward.
And now, we are very honored to introduce Tenryukyo (Nagano Prefecture) and Shiiba Village (Miyazaki Prefecture) as candidates for the next Local DAO.
■ Nishikigoi NFT New Year's Meetup in Tokyo
This Saturday, January 20th, we are hosting a New Year's Meetup to celebrate the 2 year anniversary of the Nishikigoi NFT project and to thank all the digital villagers for their support. We hope this will give an opportunity to interact with other digital villagers and share our visions for the future.

■ Bipass
Last month, Bipass, a web media that explores new ways for resources, published an interview with Atsushi Hayashi, the co-founder of Crypto Village.
In a modern society where everything we do continues to be capitalized, what was the ultimate answer to his desire at the end of his own "ultimate egoism"? What was his choice to live a life not limited by the existing system, and what is "our future that we can love"? Hayashi spoke about the current Japan from his point of view and the future that we can continue to enjoy.
■ Book: DAO Structure and Law
On the 6th of this month, a new book which one of the digital villagers made has been published. The book provides a friendly and easy to understand explanation of the structure and legal issues while considering how DAOs can be used for business and local community development. DAOs present a new framework for organizational structures, decision-making, and work styles, and raise questions about existing forms of organization, but the new concept has not yet been fully followed by current laws and rule-making. This book gives a comprehensive and wide-ranging study of DAOs.
■ Snow Shoveling Dojo
On February 10-11 next month, we are hosting a snow shoveling dojo exclusively for digital villagers in Yamakoshi. Participants can learn snow shoveling skills to help support people's lives in mountainous areas such as Yamakoshi in a two day and one night course that combines class lectures and practical skills.
