In our last update, we introduced the concept of “The Village Without Borders”—a network connecting Yamakoshi, Tenryukyo, and Shiiba. Our goal is to bridge the gap between the digital world and these local regions, creating a community where anyone can feel like a part of the village.
Today, we want to look back at our progress in Shiiba. It has been three months since the Shiiba Kagura NFT launched in January, and we are grateful for everyone who has joined us so far.
Supporting an 800-Year Tradition
Shiiba Village is a unique region where local traditions have been preserved for over 800 years. At the heart of this community is the Kagura performance—a series of music and dances that have been passed down through generations to show gratitude for the harvest and the land.
As local populations change, these traditions face new challenges. The Shiiba Kagura NFT serves as a Digital Passport, allowing people from outside the physical village to support and connect with this community.
